Privacy Policy

Visiora is a static website that collects as little as possible. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.

Who we are

Visiora ("we", "us") operates the website at visiora.art. For privacy questions, contact hello@visiora.art.

What we collect

The site itself is static HTML, CSS and JavaScript served from shared hosting. We do not operate a database and we do not require accounts.

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard access data such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp. This is used for security and troubleshooting.
  • Local storage. Your light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser under the key visiora-theme. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
  • Email you send us. If you contact us, we hold your message and address for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry.
  • Newsletter address. If a mailing provider is connected, your address is processed by that provider under its own policy.

Cookies

Visiora does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The theme preference uses browser local storage rather than a cookie. If analytics are added in future, this page will be updated before they are enabled.

Analytics

If a privacy-respecting analytics tool is enabled, it will be used only to understand aggregate page popularity. We do not build profiles of individual readers and we do not sell data to anyone, in any circumstance.

Third parties

Outbound links to AI tools and other sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies. We have no control over what they collect once you leave visiora.art.

Where affiliate links are used, the destination may record that the visit came from this site. See the disclaimer for detail on affiliate relationships.

Data retention

Server logs are retained by the hosting provider according to its standard schedule. Email correspondence is kept while it remains relevant, then deleted. Newsletter data is held until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period.

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and uses standard security headers. No system is perfectly secure, but because we hold almost no data, the risk to readers is correspondingly small.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and we will revise the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the newsletter where one is running.
